MoneyBug doesn’t collect your data. Your library stays on your Mac and in your own iCloud.

MoneyBug – App Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 11, 2026
Company: Oddforms Design LLC

1. Overview

MoneyBug does not collect personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and it never sends your information to Oddforms Design LLC or to any third party.

2. Your Library

The clients, jobs, time, invoices, estimates and designs you enter are stored on your Mac, inside MoneyBug’s sandboxed app container. Settings and preferences are stored there too.

3. iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you turn on sync, MoneyBug keeps your Macs in step through your private iCloud database, using Apple’s CloudKit. Your library’s contents are stored encrypted, with keys kept in your iCloud Keychain. With Advanced Data Protection turned on, only your devices can read them; without it, Apple holds the keys so your account can be recovered.

Oddforms Design LLC has no access to your iCloud data. Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

4. Backups and Exports

  • Automatic backups are saved on your Mac. Backups you export, and CSV or PDF exports, go only where you choose to save them.
  • Backups can be encrypted with a password you set. The password never leaves your Mac and can’t be recovered by us, so keep it somewhere safe.
  • Export MoneyBug Data as CSV writes plain, unencrypted files that any spreadsheet app can open.

5. App Lock

If you turn on the app lock, macOS checks your Touch ID or your Mac’s password. MoneyBug never sees your fingerprint or your password.

6. Links to the Web

Items in the Help menu open this website or MoneyBug Support on GitHub in your browser. Anything you post there, such as a question or a problem report, is public on GitHub and governed by GitHub’s Privacy Statement.

7. Crash Reports

MoneyBug may receive anonymized crash reports through Apple’s developer tools (App Store Connect and Xcode). These crash reports:

  • Are generated and handled by Apple
  • May include technical information such as the macOS version, the Mac model and stack traces
  • Do not include personal identifiers or your library’s contents

You control whether crash reports are shared in your Mac’s privacy settings.

8. Purchases

Any purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details or personal information.

9. Changes and Contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its date. Questions? Email support@oddforms.com.

Installation and use of MoneyBug through the Mac App Store are governed by Apple’s Terms of Service and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
